Living Light is an investigation into the user interface of everyday household lights, and a progression in how those lights behave in social environments.
The control of the lights is based on intuitive human action: move the light ball to wake it up and turn it on, hold it in the warmth of your hands to give the light a warmer hue, and expose it to loud noises to energise it and make it lighter. Double tap the top to lock the settings.
The lights then get brighter or dimmer depending on their proximity to sound – to highlight the speaker – stimulating the social environment. This creates a dynamic ambience, proven to produce oxytocin and dopamine, provoking and increasing people's social behaviour.
